Learn about the Harlem Renaissance in the early twentieth century, where Black writers, intellectuals and musicians flourished and political movements were born. See the landmarks of Harlem including Sugar Hill, the townhouses of Striver's Row, and Sylvan Terrace. Stop on 125TH Street - Martin Luther King Boulevard, in the heart Harlem’s commercial center at the Apollo Theater where some of the best African- American performers graced the stage and where many got their start.
